About Jesus Uprising

A church focused on Jesus.

We want church to be a place where Jesus is more important than personalities, the Bible guides what we teach, and everyone is treated with dignity and care.

01

Jesus comes first

Our church is about following Jesus—not building a platform around a person, trend, or political view.

03

We live with hope

We look forward to Christ's return with hope and let that hope shape how we live today.

Following Jesus

Faith should be part of everyday life.

We want to know Jesus, trust his grace, and follow him in the choices we make each day. Worship is not a show. It is something we share as a church family.

01 Read the Bible and learn who Jesus is.

02 Pray honestly and take time to listen.

03 Treat people with patience, dignity, and love.

What to expect

A simple service centered on the Bible.

Our gatherings are calm, welcoming, and easy to follow. We read a Bible passage, talk through what it means, make room for questions, and take time to pray.

01

Read the Bible

We begin with the passage and let it guide the service.

02

Talk it through

One female minister and one male minister explain the same passage together in a prepared conversation.

03

Ask questions

People can ask respectful questions aloud or submit them in writing.

04

Pray and respond

We take a few quiet minutes to think, pray, and decide what to do next.

Questions are welcome

The first five rows are available for people who want to join the discussion. You can also write down a question if you would rather not speak in front of the room.

The Clergy

Two ministers. One shared message.

Every sermon is led by one female minister and one male minister. They study the same Bible passage, prepare together, and teach side by side so members can learn from both perspectives while keeping Jesus and Scripture at the center.

01

They prepare together

Both ministers work through the meaning, context, and practical lessons of the passage. They agree on the main teaching before they stand in front of the church.

02

They teach together

The sermon is a shared conversation, not two separate messages. Each minister brings knowledge and perspective while listening to and supporting the other.

03

They listen to members

Ministers talk with members, welcome honest questions, and help people understand how the Bible connects with real life. They are teachers, listeners, and servants of the church.

The minister's commitment

A life that supports the message.

Ministers agree to a strict personal standard because their daily choices should reflect the faith they teach. This commitment is about integrity, responsibility, and a lasting love for Jesus and God.

01

No alcohol.

02

No smoking.

03

No sex before marriage.

04

Respect and care for their health and body.

05

An eternal love for Jesus and God.

06

An ongoing passion for learning the Bible and knowing Jesus more deeply.

07

No gambling.

Clergy attire

Simple, consistent, and focused.

Both ministers wear all black with a black-and-white clerical collar. The clothing is clean, modest, and understated so attention stays on Jesus and the Bible rather than personal style.

Membership

What membership means.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Membership is for people who choose to make a deeper commitment to Jesus, this church family, and a shared way of life.

No one will be mocked, shamed, or treated as less valuable because of their body, disability, addiction, history, or current struggle.
01

Reserve sexual intimacy for marriage and treat every person with dignity.

02

Keep church grounds focused on worship, family, and healthy fellowship.

03

Stay away from habitual drunkenness, smoking, and drug misuse, and seek help when needed.

04

Care for your health through good food, movement, rest, and responsible medical care as you are able.

05

Make Sunday a priority for worship, family, rest, and service when work allows.

06

Tell the truth, forgive, serve others, and work toward peace when relationships are strained.

07

Do not gamble or risk money through games of chance.

Leadership

Shared responsibility and clear accountability.

Every sermon is taught by two ministers—one female and one male. They study the same Bible passage, prepare together, and share the teaching instead of giving separate sermons. This brings two voices to the conversation while keeping the focus on Jesus and Scripture. A separate council provides oversight, reviews finances, and gives members a safe way to report concerns.

Shared teaching

Open finances

Independent oversight

Safe reporting

Our vision
A prototype of what we hope to build.

This image is not an existing Jesus Uprising church. It is a visual prototype of our dream for a warm, welcoming sanctuary centered on Jesus, Bible teaching, families, and community.
